tutorial - make some sweet light textures
I am currently procrastinating writing an analysis on Mrs. Dalloway, so I figured, hey!, I'll write a tutorial and impart some of my knowledge on to my beloved watchers. Before you all start reading, I should mention this tutorial requires Photoshop, so make sure you've got one of those suckers. Good? On we go.

Hey, first of all thanks for this tutorial, I always wanted to know how to make these, but as I'm using an older (German) version of Photoshop (7 to be precise) and discovering some problems I was wondering whether this only works for higher versions...?
The problems are that first of all I don't know where I can set the hardness to 0%, I've got opacity and flow/fluency (I absolutely don't know if that is how it is called in English or whether that mighty be what I'm looking for, I'm just trying to translate the context as it is in German), but can set neither of these to 0, 1 % is okay, 0 not. Then when I leave everything as it is and try things nevertheless I come out with a straight "pathed" line suddenly come out with "dynamic lines" all right, nothing that's thinner towards the ends, and but concerning the glow there's nothing really... glowing... =( It seems to me as if the inner glow didn't show any effect and appart from that my white lines still seem to be so bold... *wonders*
Here's a screenshot with what I came up with/showing the problem btw: Photobucket
I really hope that I'm not wasting your time or nerves with stupid questions and that you'll be able to help to help me, so big thank you in advance and have a nice day.

I'm afraid I have no idea, I've never really worked with PS7, it may be that you just don't have that option. :( sorry!

You know what sucks? Photoshop Elements doesn't even have the pen tool. I wish I could try something like this though. :(
